sinisitis?

my son is thirteen years old and has recently developed very bad breath and head smell
he has been to the dentist and this odor is not comng from his teeth or mouth, it seems to be coming from his nose
he is getting sick at times with nausea and he is always sniffling he is feeling very embarrassed by this as its terrible and it usually comes some time after he eats.  Also it doesnt seem to go away after a good brushing either.
could this be sinistis?  What can i do to help him?
His head also smells but only if u get close enough to smell it shampooing doesnt do anything!!!!   HELP

I agree with margy.
Another thought is have him use a saline sinus spray (no meds) just simply saline. (arm and hammer makes a good one).

The other thing, is if he has a sinus infection, he has to be seen by a doctor, as this can go to your brain.

Another thing to check is what he is eating. Some people react to certain foods. For example if I eat garlic, my breath smells like garlic. If my friend eats garlic, all we smell is a chemical smell----strange, but true.

Have him keep his hair shampooed daily as margy says.

Check with him if he has stuck anything up his nose very often children do this and it starts rotting, so find that out first..kids do play with their noses..if he is sniffling it may be a cold, or as you say an infection and will need some treatment .The head maybe sweat or dandruff, have you got him on a dandruff shampoo .,he may also have greasy hair .
