the plastic scare in bottles

the latest news reports speaks of the dangers of certain plastics (number 7---and other numbers---on the bottom of baby bottles) that can give off chemicals that can cause such things like cancer. with all of our kids, we never put bottles in the dishwasher, microwave, or boiled the plastic bottles. we had the liquids at room temp. or prepared them in a glass bottle then poured into the plastic. the news said that heat can cause these plastics to give off a chemical. yet, i still see these bottles in stores. and its not just baby bottles, but any plastic dealing with food. even the lining of canned foods. what do you believe? i feel like anymore in this world your damn if you do and damned if you dont! so confused and want to make the best choices for my kids!
