unknown??

my 5 year old son has "episodes' in which his lips go completely white, face very pale and sometimes he vomits.  Afterwards he falls asleep and will sleep for hours and wake up perfectly fine.  He's had every test imaginable on his heart all came back normal, he's had MRI of the brain, EEG, all back normal..What is wrong with my child?  He's had 13 episodes this year.

It's very random.  It just comes out of nowhere.  I tried to get him to the ER once before but by the time we got to the hospital he was fine.  The ER doctor thought it had something to do with the brain and called his Pediatrician right away to have a MRI set up.  The MRI came back normal and the EEG was a short one..only about 15 minutes.  The Neurologist said he may want to do a longer one, by having him in the hospital for 2 days.  It's very frustrating, we have been trying to figure this out for 3 years.  His last pediatrican was horrible, they never did anything but just simple blood work.  Just in the last year has our new ped. done anything.  I just want to know what is wrong.

Sounds like petit mal seizures.  People don't pass out from them.  Is there any way to get him tested when he is actually having one, or is it just too random to predict?
