Yes I understand the Miralax balance as it is also important as to how hydrated you are and what food you have eaten, or at least that is my experience. Try out different amounts of Miralax to see if this makes a difference. I take mine about 2 hours after my last meal and let it work over night.
Have a happy and healthy new year also x
Thanks Uklady for your advice. It is always appreciiated. I had pelvic floor pt sessions prior to my surgery. Miiralax, in particular, is doing a number on me.It is hard for my body to handle. I am trying to find a balance as to how much to take.
Have a happy and healthy New Year!
3 weeks is still very early on in your healing process. Avoiding any straining is very important so dont worry about having to take Miralax etc. You will be taking these for quite some time to ensure no straining and get the best result you can from your surgery. Your pain meds may also make BMs more dehydrated so this could be adding to your need for laxatives but you will of course need to take your pain meds. Have you got any physio sessions agreed for when you are fully healed? I am wondering if your PF is cramps. Some women use ice packs for help with healing but with you have robotic surgery you may want to use warmth but not directly on your healing site.
Most ladies report that 12 weeks is a good general timing for healing with some further adjustments to lifestyle beyond that as well. However, over the next few weeks you will notice you can do more. Are you walking about much? Short walks around the house to begin with. I hope you find relief soon.
