I had a bowel repair 9 weeks ago for the second time, I have slowly gone back working but I have done 3 consecutive days of standing and lifting, for around 8 hours daily, without a break. I now can feel that something inside has pulled and I have a bubble in the rectal area. was it too soon to have gone back to work and if i carry on will I do more damage ? has anyone else had to have the same operation repeated more than twice?
Not sure what you mean by "bowel repair". Was this for the repair of vaginal prolapse (rectocele, cystocele, enterocele repair)? Or was it repair of a bowel (i.e colon) problem - i.e rectopexy, sigmoid resection? I usually have my patients return to work by 8 or so weeks after surgery.
