Anyone tried a water fast?

The user "Hopeinfasting" opened a thread a few hours ago about water fasting as a potential cure for PATM. But somehow all of his/her posts vanished/were deleted before I could write an answer, therefore I'm starting a poll because I think the idea is worth to discuss.

So, did you try a water fast?

Like "Hopeinfasting" I also thought of doing a water fast and eventually will start in the coming months. It might be beneficial or even a cure if a sufferers PATM is the result of bacterial or fungal overgrowth.

I think it's worth a try, but everyone wanting to do this should do some extensive research before starting this extreme fast and to be on the safe side even make an appointment with their doctor to discuss this plan.

Interestingly there also is at least one case where an alleged TMAU2 sufferer was cured by a water fast.
