Gel Doasge and time of day

I just received a prescription for gabapentin gel 6% for neuropathy in my feet. What time of day is best to apply the gel to get maximum benefit?

Doesn't it bother you the most a bedtime? I've never use the jail on my feet but I take neurontin pills about 5 or 6 before bedtime ,300 milligrams that's when I had the most pain. so my answer would be bedtime.
