Nerve damage

I am a 41yrs. young female that recently had carpaltunnel surgery on both hands earlier this year, now my pinky finger and part of my ring finger is starting to go numb on both hands.  I was diagnosed with ddd with L4, L5 S1 disc bulging and a b12 deficiency and also minimal cervical instability (yeah I know I sound like Im falling apart). Can any of these cause the numbess in my fingers? My neurosurgeon is really not my favorite person, he has that if it aint broke dont fix it attitude. Can some one please help I"m stressing out so much Im starting to loose my hair!!
