we just rescued 2 bearded dragons from a sancturary....they were sitting in a room miserable and im sure nobody would have taken these two so i did... one of them has a broken jaw, but seems to have healed, he eats just fine and when he tried to mate he has to problem biting his girlfriend (gets pretty brutal), but the girl beardy has some kind of eye infection.....at first we thought her eye was gone, but now that we have her in the light i think its still in there.... but there is some sort of clear, sometimes a little milky substance coming from her eye.... i feel so bad for her and she is super sweet!......i dont have money for a vet..... is there anything at home we can do?.....anything home remidies that we can put on it? clean it with?.....
This is not a skin problem, and I recommend re-posting this question to the Animal Health - General section. That said, it sounds like her eye may be ruptured and is infected; there is nothing that you can do at home to treat it and veterinary evaluation is needed. The one with the broken jaw likely has metabolic bone disease which also needs care. You may be able to find a reptile veterinarian in your area at www.arav.org. If veterinary care is not an option, you may be able to find a repilie rescue organization to take them and give them the care they need at http://www.anapsid.org/societies/ or other similar groups searchable online (google "reptile rescue association"). It is admirable that you rescued these lizards, but reptiles need specialized care and husbandry.
