Newborn = Exhaustion

I'm so freaking tired. Between my autistic 4 and a half year old son and my 3 week old daughter, I have absolutely no time to do anything. I can't even pee anymore. I haven't slept for more than 30 minutes (if that) at a time since my daughter was born. She's hungry constantly, and I'm producing plenty for her. Blehh..anyone have any advice??  I feel like I'm losing my mind =/

Omg i know right? Sometimes I just bust out crying cause I'm so exhausted...I try talking to my husband but he just doesn't get it. He doesn't do anything with our kids because he works nights and sleeps during the day, so I don't get any relief. I haven't had a baby sitter since 2011. I just really want someone to come watch my kids so i can clean my house in peace and then sleep for more than 30 minutes lol. I love my babies to death, but I'm flipping tired. It's hard being super mom lol. I have two friends, and we've lost contact because I'm too busy with my kids. =/

Im struggling a bit too, I find it impossible to fall asleep during the day so by 4am when he's kept me awake for hours im so exhausted and I usually cry and lose my ****. But apart from the exhaustion im pretty good. None of my friends have kids so I'm finding it a bit lonely but im hopefully going to meet some new people at mothers group! Who would have thought being a mum was such a shock to the system lol?!

Awww thank you! This gives me hope. My 4yr old is relentless lol. Things are getting a little bit easier..but yeah I was thinking that it would be easier since I've already done this..but no lol. It's just as hard as it was with my first, well, actually it's a bit harder. I'm starting to find my balance though. It's just tough right now..all these hormones plus the major lack of sleep. It's just crazy what lack of sleep will do to you. I seriously feel like I'm insane sometimes lol. Thank you for the encouragement though, it really does help. =)

I was the same 3 months ago, I thought it couldn't be any harder cause then I would just break down lol hang in there, it will get better soon, all new mommies have to go through this stage after giving birth and u would think if its your second child it will be easier ... but its not easier, its even harder with two children, as soon as I stop feeding my son my 3 year old daughter pulls me to the kitchen saying that she's hungry, and as soon as I give her food my son is crying, its nonstop lol I feel so good in the evening when I put them both to sleep lol my son is 4 months now and it got a lot easier now, it will get better soon for u too!

Thank you! I found out I have postpartum depression, so that plays a big role in my exhaustion. I'm getting better finally though. How are you doing?? I feel so disconnected from everyone on here now, it makes me so sad!

No advice from me, but I have a two week old so understand where you're coming from with the no sleep. Hang in there,  sounds like you're doing a great job, all the other mums tell me the first 3 months are the hardest then the babies sleep better at night and for longer periods. Just take whatever help you can get and every opportunity to take a nap. Good luck, I'm right there with you!!
