stranger anxiety?

my 3 month old baby cries hysterically when my mum and my other family members hold her,or even talks to her,yet shes absolutely fine with my husband family..it really upsets me,because my in laws have always been horrible to me,and my daughter loves them and not my fam,I knw thats a little selfish, but cant help what I feel..also I cant put my finger on why she is like this with only my family.has anyone else had this experience?any suggestions?

Eventually she'll get used to it. Just know it doesn't mean she doesn't like your family.

yes it is quite noisy compared to our house, normally at home its just me and her most of the time.maybe that could be the reason that shes just used to it just being me and her all the time.also at my mums I have neices that make alot of noise too..buts thrs not much I can do about that though

Is it loud or really busy when you see your family? She could be sensitive to noise or activity and be getting over stimulated too which would cause a crabby baby. We are both doing very well. Just getting ready to head back to work next Monday.

It just has to do with who she's used to. I would start bringing her around your family more and that should help. Its also possible that the time of day has to do with it. My daughter was what seemed always crabby when visiting my mom but it turned out that it was because we always went over in the evening.
