chinchilla cut on paw

My chinchilla has a cut in his paw and it's bleeding a little. What can i do to help heal it?

I'm assuming it isn't deep or large enough to need stitches? In that case, keep it clean and watch for any signs of swelling or warmth that might indicate infection. Because the animal is in a cage and walking around in less than sterile conditions (potty corner), clean the paw gently, daily. Do not use peroxide. The bubbling action looks impressive but is quite irritating to the tissues. No need to use ointments since s/he will just want to groom it off.
