5 week u/s and no fetal pole?

According to my LMP I should be 6w5d pregnant but at my first u/s I measured 5w1d.  My last menstrual period was my first one in 4 months due to my PCOS.  The u/s showed a yolk sac but no fetal pole yet.  My last HCG was 7048.  Should I be worried?

Thanks for the reassurance.  They nurse and ultrasound tech both said it was probably too early.  I go for another ultrasound on August 30 to "check for viability".  This is my first pregnancy and I'm just a little nervous especially with being newly diagnosed with PCOS.  I was just diagnosed in June.  It's always good to hear from people who have gone through something similar.

My friend went thru the same kinda thing, except she had a fetal pole but no heart beat. Luckily for her, her dates were wrong and it was just too soon to see the heart beat. She went back 2wks later and all was fine. Hopefully u have just been scanned too early :)
With reguards to where u "should" be with ur dates, the doctors do the rough dates from the 1st day of ur last period... but u didnt concieve then as ur body was getting rid of the egg.
With my 1st pregnancy, going from my dates, I should have been 3months when I went for my 1st scan... but I was only 8wks! and with my 2nd they believed I was 16wks, but I was only 11wks! Hopefully this gives u a bit of reassurance whilst u have to wait for another scan x
