Birth Control - Yasmin

Ok i have been recently diagnosed with mild PCOS. I miss my periods 2-3 times a year and have excessive hair growth, etc..

The doctor put me on a specific birth control called yasmin.

She said that it will help me with the acne and facial hair growth.

Can someone enlighten me.

I am new to this PCOS.

Y did she give me that specific one?

I took Yasmin for 5 years I was diagnosed with PCOS about 7 years ago.. I have been off for almost 2 years trying to concieve. Yasmin does help..my face was completely clear and had no hair growth.. since being off my acne has just gotten worse each month. Give it a try..it took a few months but it got extremely clear.

Also I tried probably 3 or 4 different BCPs before I started Yasmin and all the others didnt help and they didnt make me feel like myself  I felt tired and emotional all the time..Yasmin was perfect..
Oh yeah and I dont get a period without BC but Yasmin gave me one each month...I could count on when I would get it to the hour..
I am not sure why she would have given you that specific one but I have read that Yasmin helps people with PCOS ( I dont know why though, sorry)
