Clomid

How well does clomid work with having pcos? I took once already and never did ovulate and my period is still late. I am on day 37. And I took a pregnancy test and it's negative. A few months ago I lost my baby when I was 19 weeks so I was just wondering how long I will have to take clomid before it will help me ovulate and get pregnant?

HI,
Induction of ovulation with clomid especially in women with PCOS needs to be done under medical supervision and under ultrasonographic guidance. This will help achieve a pregnancy early and will also prevent the side effects like hyper-stimulation. Also considering your age and previous loss, you should consult a gynaecologist.
