Drug Interactions with Metformin?

I am just wondering if there are any problems with drug interactions between Metformin and OTC meds like Tylenol, Ibuprofen, Midol, Unisom, Allergy/Sinus meds, etc...  Common things that a person might take for pain, sleeplessness, allergies, colds, etc?

Thanks :)

I'm on metformin also and no drug interactions for me either. I have taken alot of different over the counter meds while on it.

Definitely... I would tell my Dr. before getting a prescription for anything.  Thanks for the warning, though

No side effects to report from me. I've been on metformin since September and I've taken other medicines like antiboitics, Tylonel Advil, sinus medicine and amoung other things. Just to tell you that when you go see your primary doctor when you get sick, let them know your on metformin because some antibotics could cause interactions.
