Hello I'm new to this forum I have a question on metformin

I found out over a month ago that I have pcos and high insulin level so my doc put me on metformin. The second day on the meds I had my period and after that my husband and I started ttc and not it's time for my period again and nothing has happend but for the past two weeks I have been having pregnancy symptoms and my doc told me to wait until a week after my missed period to take a test. Well my question is have any of you taken well to metformin had your first period and then missed the next period without being pregnant?

Before I was pregnant I was put on Actos Plus medicine and after I received my BFP I was then moved to metformin. I don't believe it can result in missing your period.

I sure will. My first period that I've had in over 5 months came on sept 24th then it got heavy on the 27th all thanks to metformin thank goodness I finally got a period. So it's now oct 29th and no period yet so next week I will be taking a pregnancy test hopefully I'm pregnant

Metformin will not cause you to miss a period. I suggest you take a pregnancy test to rule out pregnancy. Your period might be irregular because of PCOS and if your only taking metformin, then it takes time to get your body normal again.
