Inspiration for those with PCOS. xx

Last July, July 8th to be precise I gave birth to my beautiful daughter Layla. It took us a year and a half to get pregnant. She is perfect. But just for those who are pregnant with PCOS please be aware you are at HIGH risk of gestational diabetes and should be checked around 22 weeks as it develops at 20 weeks or so. I had it but managed to control with diet, and metformin at the end. was induced because they were worried about size but she was only 6lb 6! anyway, after having her, obviously there's not much time for , well you know.. intimate time.. we only slept together about 6 times. And I'm now pregnant again. Please girls don't give up hope. Apparently once you've had one baby it really does kick start your fertility. To get pregnant the first time I went on a VERY low carb diet, still had some carbs, (my consultant told me healthy people should only have a fistfull size of carbs a day, we with PCOS should only half half! so imagine when you have a plate of chips.. that's 4 times your daily ammount. I stuck to this rule and lost about 21 lbs, (never been able to lose weight with any other diet/method) a month later I fell pregnant. If anyone wants advice, support, or just a friend please message me, I'm happy to help. :) All the best to all you beautiful ladies & remember don't give up hope. Love and good luck to all xxx

Sounds like you need to go find a new doc. I am also young. I was diagnosed with pcos last month when I was 20 and found out I was pregnant the day I turned 21. Im married and everything but even if not no doc has the right to discriminate against age. If you don't feel comfortable with that doc start looking around. There are docs out there eager to help :)

Hello ladies... I was diagnosed with pcos a little over a month ago and my doc put me on metformin 3 x daily at 500 mg. I just got my Bfp  this week. just wanted to encourage yall to keep your head up and keep trying. Eating right, exercising and Losing weight will definitely help.. The pill alone made me lose 10 pounds in the month I have been taking them. I plan on staying on them through my pregnancy due to the fact it helps decrease miscarriage. Keep trying! You will fall pregnant. God makes anything possible. Baby dust to all! :)

My husband has gave up any hope of ever having a child. We have been trying for 5 years. I started taking Vitex last month. I get so jelous of all of the woman i see every day that is either pregnant or a mother. There is so many that don't deserve them. I have not gave up yet. I will be 30 in a few months and i am so ready for a baby. Maybe this Vitex will help. Fingers crossed. Congrats on your pregnancy.
