Metformin... Please read.

I was prescribed 500 mg of metformin once a day to help me ovulate regularly. I know its to help with insilin resistance. I was wondering if that alone has helped anybody have a healthy baby.

HI,
Metformin and weight loss help in normalising the hormonal status in cases of PCOS. This can sometimes induce spontaneous normal ovulation and help achieve a pregnancy. If not then induction of ovulation can be done with the help of drugs. Consult your gynaecologist for a detailed evaluation.
Hope this helps.
