On Provera, Throwing Up a Lot

I apologize for the long post but I'm confused. Did anyone else throw up a lot when they were on Provera? I've been on it for about 6 days now and I'm supposed to stop taking it on Saturday of this week. I threw up A LOT before I was on Provera and my doc said it could have to do with the PCOS...? Here's what's happening:

Before Provera, I was throwing up a lot. I would get these waves of horrible, cramping pain, and throw up a little bit. Then a little later I would throw up a little more. This would continue a few times a day until my stomach was empty. The first day on Provera, I had PMS-like symptoms. I took some Midol (doc said that was fine) and was fine. I've had no symptoms until today. I had the stomach pain again and I keep throwing up. It feels like something is stuck in my throat, even though nothing is.

I also have a liver problem, and my liver is hurting more than normal today.

I don't know if its a medicine complication or just my body adjusting to the hormones. Is there anything I can do to stop this pain and throwing up without going off the Provera? Or should I call my doc for another option? And is there any other way I can take the Provera (I take it orally) that won't make me as sick?

Thanks!

Okay, thank you! I see my doc about how the Provera's working in a week and a half and I'll bring that up to her.

My biggest problem with medications is I always have the worst side-affects that last forever, but they fix the problem. Like when I first started amitriptyline, I was dizzy, irritable, and moodly. But it got rid of the pain and I just push the other symptoms aside. I'm having the same issue with the Provera. Yesterday, I actually had some spotting for the first time in over a year, or what we think is spotting. So the medication is both driving me up the wall and helping me...

Or, so we're thinking...

*sigh* Thanks again. I'll talk to my doc.

If you've been throwing up since before Provera, then maybe you should figure out what's causing that. Also, if you have liver problems, maybe you shouldn't be taking Provera. A lot of medications aren't supposed to be taken by people who have liver disease or stuff like that.
