In february I had an ovarian cyst removed and I went through almost a year of extreme pain. I was given countless ultrasounds because the cyst was 12 cm big and they couldn't se my appendix, and my pain was the same as an appendicitis, so I just had to wait it out to see if my pain went away on its own. It turned out that the pain was sometimes related to tearing in the cyst and sometimes the cyst would twist over itself cutting off blood circulation. If they gave you an ultrasound they would be able to see if it's something to worry about, if it was something to worry about you would have had some tests done. So don't assume the worst.
HI Gibby56,
What makes you believe that you have Ovairian Cancer?
I have had many fluid filled cysts, some blood filled some water filled. If you already know that you have PCOS I would start there. Sometimes when I have my period and have cysts that have not yet ruptured they cause me enough pain to cause vomiting, sometimes I even pass out from the pain. I would say that if the pain has increased or become unbearable you need to seek the advice of a physician again. If in the meantime you make a decison not too, try a heating pad around the area that hurts the most. When it gets that bad for me I usually have a heating pad on my back, one on my abd and am loaded on advil and tylenol consistantly so as to keep the pain in check. The biggest thing to remember with pain is once you have it even midly under control do not let it get out of hand, if you do you will have a very difficult time getting it back.
Good Luck
