PCOS and Charting

Hi Ladies,

I ama 30yr old trying to conceive for 8 months now.  I am on my second round of clomid and a little freaked out this month.  I have been charting and I have not had a positive opk or confirmed temp change to indicate ovulation so far.  I have regular 28 day cycles and I am on cd 17.  Last month I had pos opk on cd 16 and my 21 day blood work confirmed I did ovulate and my numbers were good.  Last month was easy for me to tell I was ovulating because the pain was so bad I could not stand up.  This month I am having dull consistant pain on both sides still.  Has anyone with PCOS had luck charting?  I know sometimes opks are not very acurate for us because of the hormonal abnormalities.  I just don't know about charting.  Any advice or women with PCOS who have charted and conceived please help!  Also I tried metformin but it made my blood sugar drop too low and I nearly passed out a few times yay!

Well I see you got your BFP OPK but you have your O day as before that when really it will be tomorrow!

You should fix that on your chart so you are not confused later on!

Hi :)

I was recently diagnosed with PCOS and Hashimotos.
I have one son, but my husband I were desperate to have another baby.
I started on metformin 1500 a day, and used opk's too but I found they didn't work for me.
So, I learnt to recognise ovulation myself, I guess we all know our own bodies best, right?
I googled the sypmtoms of ovulation, and kept an eye on my cycle as well as taking my temp, checking cm and monitoring ovulation pains.
Took me a month to get the hand of it, then on our first cycle of trying we got a BFP :D

It's definitely possible. Good luck xx

Oh would someone look at my chart?  This is my first month of charting and I am not sure I understand enough.  I kinda wonder if I "tried" to ovulate on cd 10?  Thanks
