Period is late again and neg hpt

I was told by my obgyn that I have pcos with out him doing a test or u/s to find out if I really have cysts on my overies
I didn't have a period for a year in a half so I got really concerned and went and he put me on Yaz which I was on for 5 days because I was having major chest pains so I stopped taking it and started back up on Ortho-Tri Cyclen that got me regular having 28 day cycle well I stopped taking the b/c back in Jan and started having 37 day cycles well March I took a hpt which showed positive but blood test showed neg and a week later I had a really bad period and huge clots with major cramping well April 23rd was my last period and lasted 6 days I should have started May 29th and nothing now its June 4th and yesterday I took a hpt and it was neg but this past few days I have been having some major cramping but still no period! I got so upset with my husband yesterday I just wanted to scream at him because he said I need to get back on the birth control pill and I want another baby so bad how is that going to help me have a baby that prevents it I know my Doctor said he would try me on clomid but I have to lose weight before I can have another baby due to having high blood pressure problems im just so frustrated and confussed at the same time!

Any Advice would be great thank you!

Make an appointment with your doctor. Bring up the concern as you might have pcos. With that said, he will most likely give you metformin and clomid seeing that you want to try for another baby. The metformin will help with the weight loss, as long as you eat right. Having pcos, like I said varies. I never skipped a period, I always got mine but I would never know when it would come. And sometimes it lasted for 2 or 3 weeks and the worse was when I bled an entire month in 2007. If you suspect you have pcos, this has to get treated because this could lead to infertilty in some cases. So please, I urge that you make an appointment so you can start feeling healthy again.

Wait for your next appointment. Your doctor may deceide to change your meds or have you not take them anymore. I also want to let you know that when you do have your ultrasound, please be advised they DO NOT need to find cysts on the ovaries to consider you having pcos. I do not have cysts I have pcos. It varies from woman to woman. Your weight might be whats messing up your periods. My doctor advised me to lose 10% of my body weight and that would help with the symptoms of pcos and possibly regulate my cycles. I currently take bcp so I do not know if I am regular yet, but have lost close to 60lbs. I know how upset you must be about wanting to have another baby, but remember your still so young! Your first order of business is to take care of your health and your body. You need to be healthy in order to get pregnant and carry the baby full term. Has your doctor suggested trying metformin? It's mainly for diabetes, but id given to women with pcos. I take 500mg 2x a day. It's also known to help with weight loss. Don't start taking any pills without your doctor's advise. Please keep us posted.
