Pregnancy

Hi everyone I have pcos (I think) I was pregnant with twins and had a miscarriage on jan 22nd. I didn't get a period as you know what our cycles can be like. Well I'm 5 weeks pregnant..I think and I've had spotting which is pink/red/brown it's very light. I've got a scan on Wednesday. What could cause spotting? I'm so worried I'm going to have another mc. Is this because I have pcos?
Thanks Emily

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hi,
Spotting associated with a 5 week pregnancy is a cause of concern. You need to take adequate rest and avoid sex till the ultrasound scan is done. If the pregnancy is viable then progesterone support can be given and a miscarriage can be prevented.
There can be many causes for a miscarriage like hormonal imbalance, maternal medical conditions, abnormalities in the foetus etc. Consult your Doctor. Hope this helps.
