So I've been on Provera for only a month. I've only known I have PCOS for a month. I had my period while on the Provera and I thought it was good, that now I can start getting better.
Then I met with my doc and she asked how things went. I said painful, but the Provera worked. The original plan was to have me take the Prover for 10 days the same dates each month to keep my cycle regular. Now, she's saying she only wants me to take it every three months and see how things go. She said, "We have the shed the uteran lining every so often, so wait til June to take it again."
This isn't what the plan was initially. Everything I read about Provera says your cycle should be consistant to mimic the natural changes your body goes through when you're menstruating. So I'm really confused as to why she would change her mind like this so fast.
Like I said, I've only known for a month, but they estimate I've had PCOS for over a year. I'm still new to this and tyring to figure things out. If it worked this month, shouldn't we have it keep going like this? Did anyone else's doctors do this?
