Unwanted hair in women

My names angela and I'm 25 years old. And I've noticed I'm growing hair around my neck, belly button, and nipples.. I know this is not normal and it is a lot of hair and I'm really embarrassed. Can u tell me what this could be?

Excessive growth of hair at abnormal sites occurs in women when there is a rise in the male hormone androgen. This can occur in conditions like PCOS or virilising tumours of the ovary. Consult a gynaecologist for an evaluation. An ultrasound scan and hormonal panel will help make the diagnosis.
