Hi there! I was diagnosed with pcos about a year before I started on clomid. I started out on 50mg and didn't really have any side effects. The next month I went up to 100mg. Hot flashes, mood swings, bad cramps when I got af. It wasn't too bad. 100mg didn't work for me either, I still wasn't ovulating. The next month my dr upped the dose again to 150mg. That's what did it for me! I'm 8 weeks pregnant, after only 3 months! I was expecting to wait a little longer. I know some of these women on here try for years, so I feel very blessed! It was so worth it! I hope it works for you too! Good Luck!

Hey I was told I had pcos when I was 15 and when it came time for me to concieve they put me on clomid 50mg days 5-9 and I got preg the first month! then my husband and I decided to try and concieve natural the next time and tried for 3 years.... so we finally came to our sences and went back on clomid and concieved in the first cycle again! Now I am currently taking in hopes of being just as lucky and concieving our 3rd and final blessing. I fully stand behind clomid. My doc said most couples will concieve with in the first three cycles of using it. Advice would be to take it at night to reduce the side effects and pay close attention to your body because the pharmacy told me I would ovulate between 5-8 days after the last pill but I ovulated two days later and almost missed it! All the best of luck to you and tons of baby dust!!!

Hello i was told i had Pcos in the uk 5 yrs ago. I started the clomid 2 months ago at 150mg huge mood swings even if i was on my own. Still carried on. So thats not worked for me, and i was really hoping on the 1st time it would work. For some people it does. So i'm on step 2 which is metaformin the the clomid afterwards...
So would be nice if you kept in touch as you pretty much at same stages. I have to take metafomin four 4 wks starting at 500mg then 1000mg then 1500mg apparently bad side effects o the joy eh?! But honesltly the only side effect to clomid i had was really sleepy the week after i'd taken it. smae every month.

I was told I have PCOS, and was put on Clomid 50mg - then 100mg, that did not work. Once we tried 150mg I ovulated but nothing happened. So after finding a new Dr. they put me on Metformin, helped me drop weight, increase chances of fertility and that coupled with Clomid may work this month. I am 9dpo and really hoping, signs look good, but I am trying not to get my hopes us. Definitely take it at night, you can gain some weight on clomid, and have hot flashes... But find out from the fetility clinic & tons of baby dust sprinkles to you ! Wish you the best !

I have not noticed hot flashes while on the metformin. Just doesn't agree with me when I indulge in sweets li ke a candy bar or anything, so fair warning... It makes me sick if I do that, so after one time, it keeps me away from it - helps ! I eat ALOT more fruit than I use to -that is my snack food.

I was diagnosed with pcos last week.  So I'm REALLY new to it all.  My DH and I have had 5 miscarriages now and we are TTC now.  I am just finishing up my round of progesterone to start my period.  Then we are starting our first round of clomid 50mg. I should get AF this week/early next week then we're starting the clomid. I'm really hoping that it works.  My DH cracks me up, though.  The dr told us that there is a slightly higher chance of having twins when you are on clomid, so now he has it in his head that we are having twins.  Not just twins, but twin boys.  Because he "knows these things".  Silly boys.  Hopefully Clomid will work.  I'm not sure I can take another loss.
