i had an IUD removed in August and then found out i have PCOS, my doctor told me that IUD's especially mirena can actually aggrevate you PCOS symptoms and make harder for you cycle to regulate after getting the IUD removed. so that ,maybe part of whats going on. you may want to talk with your doctor. Good luck and hope it works out soon!

like the other ladies said it is a good idea to see your doctor so they can check your levels and prescribe medication if needed or wanted for pregnancy. I have PCOS and have had  3 successful pregnancy and 1 miscarriage, so it can happen!! i good thing to try either before or with medication is getting some regular exercise, walk is really good because it's easy and low impact, and cutting out fatty foods or eatting them less, also if your trying take a prenatal vitamin or at least folic acid. good luck and hope it works out for you!

they will do a blood work on your first to see if you have pcos
also I was informed, That if he puts you on metformin you could become
pregnant!

He may put you on clomid if you are wanting to get pregnant!

Wish you luck!

Hi, I have PCOS and was diagnosed by an ultrasound scan following a miscarriage, however my blood tests were normal. I would suggest you see your doctor to arrange both a hormone profile and pelvic ultrasound and then you will know for sure. If you do have have PCOS there are lots of things you can try - fertility drugs, ovarian surgery, IVF and not forgetting the alternative treatments.

Good luck!

That is a great question. I went on a exercising spree 3years ago and accidently got pregnant with my first and only son. I was not in a good place to have a baby in a bad relationship, but I took the reins on becoming a mommy and I love my son dearly. After his birth I got an IUD placed.

Now that I have been married to a wonderful man and removed my IUD in July. We are now trying for a baby. I have been on prenatal pills for 5months and had no luck with a positive pregnancy test.

I have however had a visit from AF 2x which is great considering I use to have them 2x/yr and never with the iud. I'd like to know if anyone has hints with PCOS and post IUD.
