yes u can have pcos and have visible cyst on your ovaries and next month be none.u dont always have to have cyst.but u always hae pcos.diet is the main thing to control pcos.u need to stay away from carbs and sugar.glucapage isa drug they give if your insulin is high and it lowers it.i never could ovulate if i was over a certain weight.so i went onatkins and lost 60lbs took my gluchapage 2000 mg a day and igot pregnant quickly.if u want to get pregnant u got to watch what u eat if u want toovulaTE  sugar and caRBS  lke the girl before me said are like the worst thing u can eat.i took femara instead of clomid the clomd caused me pain and more cyst.femara i got pregnt first cycle itsa miracle drug.my doctor guarented it and he was right.so do the no carb no sugar diet take femara or clomid and see if u may need a insulin lowering med to go along with it.good luck

Hi,
Are you sure you are ovulating? Did your doctor's check your hormones to make sure? You can have monthly periods but have something called anovulation, which is where you have regular periods but you do not ovulate. If you're not ovulating ask about taking the drug Clomid to induce ovulation. If you are ovulating and have no other medical issues that doctor's can find, then perhaps your partner could have a problem such as a low sperm count. Has he been checked over? Also, it can take healthy couples with no fertlity issues 12 months to become pregnant. You only have a 20% chance each month of conceiving. Timing is everything! The first thing you need to do is make sure you are ovulating. Check for signs each month, such as changes in cervical mucus, charting your temps and maybe even purchasing an ovulation prediction kit. Though sometimes they are not accurate in women with PCOS. Your egg lives only for about 20 hours after it is released, so you need to have sex as closely as possible to the timing of your egg being released. You can also purchase a lubricant called Pre-Seed which helps to keep sperm alive and create a less hostile environment so your chances of conceiving are higher. Your diet might also need changing. Are you insulin resistant or diabetic? Stay away from sugary drinks and carbs. They are toxic to women with PCOS, especially if you have insulin resistance. Unless you change your diet drastically from one month to the next it is not likely you developed any cysts on your ovaries. Usually PCOS runs hand in hand with insulin issues and it's the over-production of insulin and your cells inability to use it that leads to cysts and hormonal imbalances.

Hang in there and don't give up! Women with PCOS can and do get pregnant all the time. You just need to work at it a little harder. I have PCOS and was infertile for years. I changed my diet, stopped drinking soda pop and within 4 months my periods resumed, I began ovulating and got pregnant at age 35!
