question about yaz birtcontrol

I have a serious question.  I have PCOS and have been on clomid, femara, metformin etc.  now my doctor wants to put me on birth control, which what ever, nothing else has worked why not try it again.  But my concern is the type of birth control that it is.  YAZ!!! I have done very little research about it but what I have found shows that there are more people out there that have negative things to say about it.  I  have heard people talk about migranes(sorry for spelling) blood clots kidney failrue, which really scares me and horrible moodswings.  All of which I will proboaly get too.  My thinking is that I have had migranes before  and have taken meds like clomid that cause moodswings I don't see why yaz would be any different.  I am just nervous about taking it.  I don't want to have a blood clot or heart attack blood clots are in my family.  I have called my doctor and told him my concern and I am waiting to hear back from him.  I hope he dosen't get offended, who cares right.

I was on Yaz and LOVED it!!! I had no symptoms what so ever.  AND my normal PMS symptoms were gone.  No cramping, back aches, head aches, moodiness, pain anywhere.  I even had normal flow.  Usually I have incredibly painful, long and heavy cycles but not with Yaz, and in fact, I have had normal cycles since (although the cysts have come back)  I hardly even knew it was that time of month other than the obvious.  The only reason I got off was because we're TTC otherwise I would stay on it forever.  I have had every other kind of birth control.  3-4 different kinds of pills, the patch, the shot and I had terrible side effects for all of those including worse pains, numbness, and my entire leg and arm tingling and going numb.  But on Yaz there were no side effects and all my cysts were gone.
But remember, everyone is different.  Hope this was helpful!

Any birth control pill, well any birth control that has hormones in it can cause blood clots. But they are normally only risk for those who have a family history of clots, or who have suffered from clots before. I've never been on Yaz and the only birth control pills I have ever taken was/is Yasmin. No they are not the same. Yasmin or Ocella is a lower dose of birth conrtol, while Yaz is prescribed more often to those who suffer from PMDD (Premenstrual dysphoric disorder). Yasmin is one of the best birth control pills out there for those who suffer with PCOS. I've been on it for 2 years, with a break of 6 months. I just started a new pill pack this month again. I too suffer from migraines, but the pill does not give me any.
