Can you have postpartum depression after your child is one years old

Yes! Talk with your doctor as soon as you can to get a hold on it. Also determine whats causing your mood by talking with someone.

Your hormones are still fluctuating and some women just have depression.  Unrelated to the baby you had a year ago. Not sure which it is but if you are feeling depressed consistently, please DO talk to your doctor.  Depression is very treatable!  In the mean time, try to exercise a bit as this releases our brain's 'happy chemical' and can have a very positive effect on mood.  Try to get a bit extra sleep also which can help.  Hang in there.  Talk to us whenever you need to. I'm on the depression forum frequently as well and would love to stay in touch.  hugs
