We must never give up on praying for our children and claiming them for Christ. I believe when we stand in that gap to pray for our loved ones that God honors those prayers and me and my household shall be saved.
Don't give up, Linda! The devil has already been defeated and God hears our prayers. Hugs!
I pray for my children. They were sporadically exposed to Christianity.
My son, who is grown up (26) has walked away from even asking questions. He told me a few months ago that he tended to be Buddhist. He isn't living that life style. It breaks my heart that he wants to go there.
My daughter, who is grown as well (24) and is disabled and living in a group home, has been studying with the JW's for a couple of years, at least. That breaks my heart as well.
Neither faith/religion is GOD based. They are deceived beyond belief. I keep praying that they will be led away and back into Christianity.
We'll that's good that you've given him the truth and he lived it. Just give him time to figure out where he wants to be. Keep praying, all things happen in God's time. If things happened when we want perhaps they wouldn't stay in the truth very long. All I'm saying is that God knows ultimately. We just need to be patient even though we want this so much for the people we love.
Yes, my son accepted Christ as a little boy. He went to Awanas, a Christian school, church and youth group. He knows how strong my faith is too. He started questioning things in his senior year then went he went off to college. He still believes in God but seems to have a lot of questions and has let the world influence him, I think. It just saddens me because I want to see him fully committed to Christ again. I want that for my whole family, my husband especially. He goes to church but isn't being the spiritual leader I'd like him to be.
I just want to know my family is saved and safe before Christ comes back and I feel that could be soon. But I believe the Lord is faithful and if we pray for our loved ones and stand in the gap for them that the Lord will save them and protect them.
Well the best way is by living as a Christian and hopefully you imparted some knowledge of Christ to your son. He can return and God knows the very last person to accept him before he returns. Don't give up. I too have a father who isn't a practicing Christian. It's frustrating, but keep pouring out your heart to God that he will open their eyes. It takes longer for some to receive Christ, but do your part. If it gives you pain to see your children and husband dead to spiritual things, it pains Christ even more. He longs to have them in his fold even more...
I will definitely pray for you. Stay positive. :)
