Could I be pregnant 9 days post ovulation?

Excuse my ignorance on this subject but is it possible that I could be pregnant 9 days post ovulation? Really hoping there is a slight chance... Thank you in advance!

Do you mean could you get pregnant if you have sex 9 days after ovulation, or can you tell if you are pregnant 9 days after ovulation? For the first, you would need to have sex 5 days previous and on the day of ovulation in order to have a chance conceiving, since sperm can live up to 5 days but the egg can only live for 24 hours. Anything past 24 hours within ovulation is extremely unlikely to result in pregnancy.

For the second, 9 days post ovulation is generally about 5-6 days before the missed period. A good quality home pregnancy test might give you a positive at this point if you are pregnant, but there is only a 20-30% chance that it will be able to confirm a pregnancy. You would do better to wait a few days before testing, just to be sure.

Of course, you might be feeling pregnant, maybe have sore breast, spotting, or nausea. With my first, I felt that way around this same time, and I already "knew" I was pregnant.
