How long did it take for you to fall pregnant with irregular periods?

Hi ladies!

I'm new to this so hello everyone :)

My husband and I have been TTC for 9 months, he is 28 and I am 26. It would be our first baby, but we just don't seem to be getting pregnant as quickly as others.
I'm wanting to go to the Drs to discuss TTC as my cycles are always irregular- one month I can be 7 days early, other months I'll be 3 weeks late, but the husband wants to wait another 3 months.
My main questions are:
A) how long did it take you to be come pregnant?
B) did you find it an emotionally stressful time?
C) is there anything you did to encourage becoming pregnant?

Thanks ladies!

G xx

Thanks for your reply!

I'd never even heard of anovulatory cycle! I've just googled it, and it does make sense- but it sounds disappointing :(

No I haven't- I'm abit naïve to all this- I even struggle to get a result with an ovulation kit! And I'm also scared that if I start measuring everything I'll put stress on myself and make it harder to catch on! X

It took us 1yr and 2 months.  It was a bit stressful, I think my husband found it more difficult than I did. Have you tried measuring your bbt?  Can give an idea if your cycles are annovulatory, which would be more of a reason to go for fertility support initially.
