I'm in good health

My husband and I have tried for a month and didn't work. My question is my husband is hemoplgic would that have and issue with his sperm?

It would be pretty rare to get pregnant your first time trying. It can take several months. If you don't get pregnant within a year you should talk to your Gynecologist and get some tests done on you and your husband.
I would recommend getting an ovulation kit. You can track when you ovulate and have intercourse a couple of days before and during ovulation.

We just got our first positive pregnancy test (Jan 2017), and we started Jan 2016

It can take a year sometimes longer to get pregnant don't be discouraged because it didn't happen the first time.
