In between pregnancies pause

hi ladies! I had my baby 4 1/2 months ago. My hubby and I want a big family and we are anxious to start this pregnancy trip again. So I was just wondering when it would be a good time? How much should we wait? Any advice?
Thanks in advance!

My boys r 2 1/2 years apart. I also have a one yr old and expecting another baby in one week. This pregnancy was hard but I know the worst part isn't over I'm just wondering how I'll cope I'm constantly running after my one yr old. I'd say wait at least 2 years when one child can understand a lot more.

It's usually suggested to wait about 18 mths apart....your body is completely healed and ready for another pregnancy but it really is up to you.

I got pregnant at 8 or 9 months after having my first baby and i would recommend waiting a little longer than that. When you get pregnant, you have to deal with morning sickness among other symptoms like fatigue and your infant will need you A LOT so it is very difficult, eapecially with no help. I think a good time is when you have a good routine with your child: sleeping through the night, done breastfeeding (some women cant continue breastfeeding while pregnant), used to not being carried so much, etc. Also, for some women, they are considered high risk if they get pregnant within a year of having a baby.

That's kind of up to you. How long do you want to wait?
