I had the long cycles, I was really stressed in October and started getting really long cycles 46 days to be exact. My husband and I concieved in February but I wasn't expecting it cause I thought that I would ovulate around cycle day 20, and with the stress of work and all that jazz, we only had sex a couple of times right after my period and I ended up getting pregnant.. we had been trying for awhile and desided to stop and it was once we stopped trying and just had fun that when it happened..
thats how it works for soo many women.. also what I think did the trick and I'm sorry if this is TMI, we did a new position that was pleasuable for both of us, and thats the one we got pregnant off of. soo have fun with it.

I don't have long cycles, but I have done a lot of research on TTC.  Once you O, you enter the luteal phase (LP) of your cycle.  The LP is supposed to be between 12-16 days (with 14 being avg).  I have heard of short LP defects, but not of long ones.  Are you sure that you are not O'ing later than what you think?  Have you asked your dr?
