basal body temp

Okay, first off .. dont be rude to me please. Before today i had no idea that basal body temp was important to map. Im unsure that im pregnant bc i am waiting to test. My period is due at the end of this week to the beginning of next. Today i started mapping my bbt and its gone from 98.4-98.5-99.1 and im not sure what that means. Im not sure if its bc im about to start my period .. or if its confirming my pregnancy. All advice welcome. I havent said anything to anyone other than you guys .. about my thinking im pregnant so im looking for someone to give me a little guidence. Thank you so much.
