Heir I'm just wondering if I'm ovulating and I never really have
All that much mucus, not egg white stuff any way

I agree w/you about pre seed.  For me CM isn't an issue, thats how I always knew when I was about to O.  I/we used it for me! BEFORE intercourse ;)  By the time I  "finish" Intercourse is smooth.  Plus I already mentioned this before, but my husband doesn't like it cuz it tends to dry up super fast.
But the robitussin  works really well.  I took it a few times last cycle, actually it was a kid brand can't remember which, but it was a little better than the adults.  Anyway I took it 2 x's the day I got my HCG shot & about 4 hours later (warning...TMI) I had to change my undies!  I could not believe how much cm I had!  IDK, maybe it was the combo of the trigger/R IDK.  I just know that it was crazy!  The thing was that I was bummed cuz we were going out of town & I forgot it, & never went to the store to get another one :(

Anyway, I'm gonna start it again Monday, being that I'm on CD4 & I O on CD11 or 12.
This time I'm going to make SURE I am stocked up!!!

I actually am a big fan of both these products. One of the problems we "older" women have is decreased cervical mucus.  When I used the robitussin (about 2 to 3 teaspoons a day starting about 5 or 6 days before O), there is absolutely no doubt my cm increased.  As for the preseed, for me intercourse without lubricant is really uncomfortable, so this was a great option.  I think that's why so many women (like me) swear by it.  . It states that it has the same ph balance as the mucus our bodies normally produce and assists in creating that fertile enviroment.  I have no way of knowing if that is true, but I do know it is sperm friendly and definately made things "easier" for me.  I love the stuff.  It is the only lubricant I use, even during "off cycle" times.  I started these two products when I was on chlomide as I was producing what seemed like no cm at all.  It didn't work then, but have used it ever since I went off the chlomide.  Just seeing the increase in cm helped me know the best time to bd.  And I have been pregnant 3 times since..did this help, I don't know, but it certainly didn't hurt.

The robitusson to use is the type that has absolutely no other active ingredients.  No DM, no anything...just plain old robitussin.  And make sure you stop it as soon as you O.  Lots of luck!!!

You practically have to overdose yourself with robitussin...it's a certain kind of robitussin, like DM ....something like that.   You can research it on the internet.  It is suppose to increase mucous....but to me it doesn't do any miracles.

As far as preseed.....it has no miraculous values or special qualities.  Personally I think this company rips women off.   It DOES NOT replace cervical mucous....it's a sperm friendly lubricant.  Women who coincidentally get pregnant (IMO) when they use think it's the reason, but in reality it's about as effective as a fertility buddha. And if you have no issues with lubrication than it's probably not necessary.

Okay, here is the additional info...good luck!!! SSBD

Robitussin and it’s Effect on Cervical Mucus
Robitussin works on the cervical mucus and increases your chances of getting pregnant

Robitussin is a popular brand of cough syrup and it might be surprising to consider its relation with fertility. But the fact is that this expectorant is used to loosen and thin mucus of a different kind too, called cervical mucus, in women. Robitussin is only a specific brand and any expectorant that contains guaifenesin as the only active ingredient can be used in its place. Generic versions are most likely available as well. Be sure to carefully inspect the ingredients list to make sure the ONLY active ingredient as guaifenesin. Any other ingredients can diminish the effect you are looking for.
What is the recommended dose of Robitussin?

The recommended dose for improving cervical mucus is two teaspoons (200 mg) taken orally three times per day. Recommended dosage is two teaspoons (200 mg) taken orally three times per day. If mucus still appears thick, you can take as the maximum dosage as listed on the label of the cough medicine. Water intake should be increased to encourage cervical mucus production and a full glass should take with each dose of guaifenesin.

If you re taking Clomid (clomiphene citrate, Serophene) as an ovulation inductor, it may help to know that it can cause hostile mucus in 30 percent or more of women using it. Higher doses of Clomid tend to be more associated with less cervical fluid and a thinner uterine lining, than the 50 mg dose and Robitussin can help to reverse this.
What cycle days should I take Robitussin?

Most doctors suggest taking Robitussin five days before and including the day of ovulation for a total of 6 days during your cycle. This helps provide the optimal environment to help the sperm survive and get to where they need to go.If you take Clomid, waiting until the day after the last Clomid pill is taken before starting Robitussin is suggested.
Is Robitussin available in pill form?

Guaifenesin is also available in pill format, but this format usually requires a Doctor’s prescription. The actual cost of the pill format can be less expensive than the OTC liquid format but when you figure in the cost of the doctor’s visit, there may not me much of a savings.

Robitussin decongestant syrup is known to increase cm. If you look it up, you will find a lot of info on it. There are several types of robitussin available but it is important to use the plain robitussin with guafinessin as the only active ingredient. I just started using it last month and did see an increase in cm. As Pam said, the preseed is a lubricant that aids the cm in getting the guys where they need to be. I'll post more info on Robitussin for you. Hope this helps.

I'm not familiar with robitussin, but I used preseed trying with this pregnancy and it worked.  It is a lubricant you insert before intercourse that mimics a womans own cervical mucus.  It is sperm friendly, and helps sperm swim quicker through the cervix to hopefully conceive successfully.  It's great stuff!  Check it out on preseed.com

Sorry I don't know anything about the robitussin or preseed, but I just wanted to wish you luck, and who knows maybe you will do it the old fashion way this month, that is how I got pregnant after 6 years of injectables and BFN, best wishes Julia
