So ladies, I've had a very bad dry cough for about 2 weeks now and everytime I cough I pee myself but I'm more than always wearing a pad.... Get this my husband and I just got thru making good love. As it was coming to an end and I was still on top of him, I let out this big cough and an ever bigger squirt of pee..I am so embarrassed. He just shrugs it off but I'm do self conscious of that.
JoyRenee - lol I pee my self ALL the time too its funny to my husband but not as much to me . Thanks for the tip on the core excersises I'm qoin to research it. I start my birthing class tomarrow. (Some people think its lame to qo but I personally think I could use all the information) since its my first pregnancy
Some women wear a pantyliner to prevent ruining their underwear or embarrassing themselves if a little too much comes out, if you know what I mean!
I never do kegels either. I've read doing core exercises is better in the long run than kegels. Just something you'd have to research more about what is going to be more beneficial to your pelvic floor muscles. To do kegels you squeeze the muscles of the vagina as though you're stopping the flow of urine midstream. Obviously we don't pee out of our vagina but we use those muscles to help stop the flow of urine.
And I just want to say this is totally normal! Try getting to the restroom as soon as you have the urge to go (which is probably like every 15 minutes, LOL!). I pee myself all the time!
NICOLEW09- lol omg well don't be too ermbarresed because in the morning when I qo to throw up I pee on myself :( lol and I tell my husband and he justs laughs haha how mean .
MAMI2KARINA- my mom thinks I should try those kegels I guess it helps throughout labor. Did it help u
I do it all the time too! My husband thinks it's hilarious. And seeing as this is my 4th baby it's worse this time around. I have to wear a panty liner otherwise I ended up having to change everything all the time. I do kegels and have for years but it still happens more often than not.
I had hyperemesis throughout my prergnancy so I was constantly getting sick. Anyways, everytime I would run to the bathroom to get sick, I would pee on myself everytime. So I would have hurriedly shuck my jeans or yoga pants off to keep from getting them wet. Talk about embarassing! Lol. Even today my pelvic floor muscles are still weak from giving birth and DH was tickling me about 3 months pp and I peed on myself. lol.
Cylsta- thanks lol I feel too lazy to try them but I might as well just try . Cus the peeing makes me feel like a little kid lol even though like you said every pregnant woman has this happen to her somepoint throughout pregnancy it ***** . I start my birthing class tomarrow :) YAY I'm excited and maybe the instructor will talk about kegels
I've not met a pregnant lady yet who hasn't had this happen to them at some point. I personally never did kegel's. Idea kinda seemed silly to me--though I understand the concept. It's not because you have to do these exercises, it's because you have a baby and such pushing onto your bladder. I used liners myself (one's made for urine, not blood) and didn't have too many problems. You're supposed to follow the same idea that you do when you're stopping urine flow. However, you're not supposed to practice them when you're actually urinating. Doing this can weaken the muscles, making the problem worse. Do it when you're eating, driving, watching TV, on the computer, etc.
