I smoke almost daily. It is the only thing that helps give me an appetite. My ob said to use it wisely. Also in some studies it has been shown that babies who are prenatally exposed to marijuana are happier and more social. I did a good amount of research befote deciding to continue to smoke.

I think there is NOTHING wrong with Marijuana. It is not even a drug the state just doesn't know how to tax it. And these people saying it is obviously don't understand it's a plant -_- and any ways I don't smoke it any more I quit completely after I found out I am pregnant. I quit smoking cigarettes as well which have more of an affect on you than Marijuana.

But I don't judge others who do.  Everyone has to do what they feel is best for their own life in my opinion.

As I have kids of varying ages, my thoughts on pot over the years has changed.  Like now, I think that I wouldn't want anyone smoking near my kids or to act as if it is no big deal because I don't want my kids to ever get into it.  I don't want them drinking or smoking cigarettes either,  ya know?  So then I think , why would I want to do it then?  It's different if it is used for genuine medical reasons but for the sake of getting high, I'm just not into that.  Motherhood changed me.

I think if you have morning sickness to the point where you have to get on a pill for it then i recommend weed instead,
But women who continually use just because"its safe" are selfish.
Any smoke deprives oxygen to baby.

I have heard of so many people who claim to have perfectly healthy babies after smoking their whole pregnancy. I believe them too, I probably would have continued if I wasn't so naturally paranoid.

Also, if my baby by some means of fate comes out with a problem, I never want to question whether or not it was from the few times I smoked weed. But lets not make this post nasty ladies, come on now.

I smoked my entire pregnancy. My baby is 4 weeks old and completely healthy. They let us leave the hospital a day early cuz we were both doing so,good. And he is so sweet! Not tempermental and sleeps good. I quit at 36 weeks so,i would hopefully pass the drug test but i ended up having him at 38 weeks. Never was tested but,be prepared, for, that some places test but usually only if they suspect it, i never told my doc.

Marijuana is not bad if it is used correctly.  How many of the people bashing on weed drink alcohol while they aren't pregnant?  Lol

I used to smoke occasionally, but when I found out I was pregnant I stopped completely.   Yeah, I enjoy smoking every now and then, but you have a baby that is developing a brain inside your body, and I don't want my baby to get high, if that's possible.  If I did smoke, it would help with my nausea, help me sleep, help my mood swings, but I'm not going to do that to my baby for my own comfort.  Some doctors tell their patients while pregnant, smoking will help them depending on their circumstances.

I think it is kind of selfish to get high while you're pregnant.  You don't truly know what your baby is going through when you smoke or intake it somehow, I wouldn't do it at all.

My sister smoked weed throughout her entire pregnancy and her baby seems really slow and not alert at all..she was also born full term but small..shes only 4months now and its too early to tell if theres anything more serious..its defiantly NOT worth the risk..plus like the other women said they drug test you every office visit and will notify dcf or cps

Dumb as hell.. and im glad they test at appointments and get child protective services involved after delivery if positive. I have nothing bad to say about people who use but for the safety of the baby you should have enough respect for your child not to do it while pregnant.

I think, personally, that as far as any drug goes, including caffeine and cigarettes, it's one of the least harmful you can do. I do not smoke anymore, but I did during the beginning of my pregnancy. It's not been researched enough to really say either way what it does. Some people say it helps with nausea, and loss of appetite, which is common for morning sickness. For weeks, I couldn't even get down water, and I smoked a couple times then to help with it. I probably would have needed to go to the hospital without it due to dehydration. I am very much pro legalization and research towards this drug.
However, one thing that I genuinely believe about cannabis is that it is non addictive. (Well, it is in the sense that everything is addictive. One could say I'm addicted to this app, etc.) But propaganda could claim that you have withdrawals after quitting. If you do, it is either placebo or you were smoking more than weed. That being said, with the fact that there aren't really any benefits other than the morning sickness stage, there is no reason to continue to smoke weed considering there is a CHANCE that it could be harmful. Better safe than sorry, right?

^^ ya that's what I was going to say! And people will say that won't happen but it was something that was just passed not to long ago and it's very real! I don't think it's worth the risk

I quit at 8 weeks and as a chronic smoker,I thought it'd be HARD, but to my surprise it was not at all. They drug test and will ask if you're still smoking, if the baby tests positive, they will have to notify dcf or cps, whichever your area has

You shouldn't do it at all, I personally wouldn't want my baby being born and being hooked on drugs plus I don't know how it would affect her development. Better to just stay away from every drug including alcohol
