10 weeks pregnant, sac but no baby, no bleeding
Hi everyone,
Im not sure what is going on? According to my last period, IM now 10th week pregnant. I had ultrasound 3 weeks ago, saw sac but no fetus. I did some blood works and the HCG level rised. Today I went back for the 2nd ultrasound, saw sac and no fetus again. The technician said maybe it's still early. I dont know what's going on. My tummy definitely looks bigger. I had neither cramping nor bleeding. Im going to see my OB next week to discuss the results. It's going to be a very long week. Im so frustrated, I had 2 M/C before and feeling like IM loosing it again.

I knew exactly how everyone feeling in here. The only I can share my feeling & the stories how much i've been through so far ....& still pray God for another hope for me and for everyone of us in here. I love you ALL
I found out i missed my period on 01/31/10 i supposed to have my period on 3 days before from my last period (01/28) but i didn't. I used home pregnancy test on 01/29 & it showed + . I was so excited then made appointment with my OB. My first U/S on 02/01 haven't seen anything yet...probably too early....I used to miscarriage 3x so this time I have so much hope to have one because i am getting old :-(. My first Hcg level came out 939...my second U/S on 02/04 (not even 5 weeks yet) only a tiny sac was there....my second Hcg level 1763. My third U/S on 02/11 this time they said about 5 weeks 4 days pregnant but can only a sac without fetus. I cried like crazy and so depressed and didnt know what was going on...the thing i hate the most..the tech whoever this the U/S for me..you know what she said "Oh something going wrong with the pregnancy she needs to see Md to discuss about it"....how much happy we are when we know ...going to have a baby...& that how the way they talk to their patient like that...i was so upset but ....I still hope there must be something there...i just dont want to cry any more probably i have a little disappointed about myself....
On that day 02/11, i did my blood test at MD office & my hcg level came out 17507 & they asked me to do another 48 hrs on Saturday 02/13 and lab came back as 30, 503 double. I went to discuss with MD today 02/16/10 exactly 6wks 2 days but they only saw a sac without yolksac (fetus)...they want me to come back Tues (02/26) next week to have another U/S ....My OB said even they checked the hcg level..which double up..still cannot tell it 's abnormal or normal pregnancy or possible Blighted Ovum. I still cross my fingers and pray to God giving some hope....still dont know what will going on?!!!! I will keep up date...& good Luck to everyone has a same situation like me I will pray for you too. Okie

well im 10 week i had a u/s a week ago they didnt see the baby today i had another one and no baby just sac and the dr told me im going to be having a miscarrage so i havent bled or anything yet i wish they made a mistake so can you let me know what happens about yours
good luck my prayers are with you! never knew pregnancy could be a roller coaster but it can be and i wish you all the best! as for me i had d and c today or yest (its 4am) i still was vomiting in OR room. my hcg was rising but slowly and after 3 u/s and no progress only decreasing sac size then vanishing sac i choose to do d and c! i have to go back to work been taking off too much. so d and c was best for me. hopefully you wont have to go through this and everything will be okay! keep us posted
you can miscarry naturally if that is what you choose since the baby would be so small. That is what i decided to do. I waited the 3 month healing period and 2 months after got pregnant again. My midwife told me that a d&c can actually help you get pregnant faster because it cleans you out. She never said anything about complications.

I had D&C twice. It was necessary for me to have to procedure done instead of waiting for my body to do the job itself. We found out both times from the first trimester screening that the fetus stopped growing around 8th week. The screening is normally done around 12th week. Since the fetus already died for 4 week and I had no bleeding, my body didn’t respond to the M/C. They said you don’t want to leave it in there for too long, it may cause some infection. Therefore I decided to go with D&C.
I would choose the natural way if my body recognizes the M/Cs. Unfortunately in both times there was no cramping or bleeding. I wouldn’t even know I had M/Cs if we didn’t go for the 1st trimester screening. And it’s less expensive.

Larissa~ I am praying that you get to see a baby at your next U/S. Can I ask a question? Were your D&C's required (Abortion) or optional (M/C) for you?
Im only asking because I've seen stories where a woman opted for a D&C or abortion because they weren't ready for a baby only to find out later that they had a hard time carrying a baby. I promise I'm only curious and I'm not asking for specific situations. If you feel uncomfortable with my question of course you don't have to answer. It is a personal decision for a woman to make and I respect that. Just curious

sorry to hear about your loss, they said if they don't see something tomorrow they will schedule me for a D&C on monday so we shall see, I still have many pregnancy symptoms like nausea, vomiting, and nipples hurting, haven't passed anything or have felt anything so I am just praying for the best :)!

Good luck with your u/s tomorrow. I hope you get to see the fetus and hear the heartbeat. In my case, even though I haven’t discussed the result with my OB yet, but I sensed that the M/C already happened. I forgot to mention in the previous post that a couple days ago, I passed a piece of tissue (not really exact a piece of tissue, IM not sure what to call), it looked like a small tadpole (about 0.3 inch long). There was no cramping or bleeding at all at the time. I showed it to my husband; he was not sure what it was. But my instinct was telling me that it was the fetus. I saw my OB next day, she checked the cervix and everything was closed and normal. When I mentioned to her about the tissue, she didn’t seem to worry, and suggested to wait for the u/s. I did get the u/s yesterday and it showed sac but no fetus again….so I felt my instinct was right. At this point I have no more pregnant symptoms, accept my big tummy. Hopefully my body will get rid of what is left inside so I don’t have to go through another D&C. I did have D&C twice and am little concern about having the procedure done many time.

unfortunately I am in the same boat, I am only 6wks though I have an u/s tomorrow and see if they can see a baby, if not then they think it is a blighten ovum, prayers for a postive outcome
my first pregnancy i had a blighted ovum, im not saying that is what yours is but it is a possibility.
