There's a rare condition in which an unfertalized egg implants. There would be no fetal body in that case and it usually purges its self, rarely a D&C is needed.

Pregnancy tests will show up positove up to 6wks after a miscarriage. It is very possible you had a missed miscardiage or a phantom pregnancy. It is very unlikely that at 2 1/2 months pregnant they cannot find any trace of a baby.

Request and internal ultrasound.  Idk if that's the correct term but my first ultrasound they put a wand up my vagina to see the baby more clearly

It wouldn't be too small at 10wks. Ultrasounds shouldn't be guess work.  My baby was seen at 4wks clearly and heart beating.  I hope they have answers for you soon.  I can't believe the amount ofccomments I've seen with doctors not really knowing or guessing things.  Us woman need facts!

the baby might still be too small to be seen or it could be that you have a phantom pregnancy... my sister in law had the same thing she was 10 weeks pregnant when she went to her ultrasound but they didnt find a baby and 3 weeks later her placenta came naturally. She had all the symptoms of a pregnancy and she came out positive as well but i hope its just that the babys too small to be seen good luck

That's wierd. I was three weeks when I miscarried a couple years ago and they didn't see anything on my ultrsound. Could it be possible that you miscarried a little while back and maybe you thought it was your period
