Thank you. I think I will just keep myself busy until I go next week so I don't worry. I just start thinking about it and stress over it. Knowing I should be stress free, I have to keep myself busy to not worry!
from working out in the summer of 2009 (last summer) your mussels wouldn't be that week by now.
I'd really suggest tracking your weight, if your eating too much the fat can help "hide" the baby bump too. Just remember that once you have the baby, it's not very easy to loose the weight, so try to not gain too much. I gained 30 lb from my first pregnancy and didn't loose any of it till I got pregnant again. Since your having twins, I would expect you to gain more weight. Since your at the 11 week mark, you should still be able to try to keep things under control. I think they say 3-5 lb in the first trimester is what you should gain (if your skinny).
For my first pregnancy I lost 10 lb in the first 20 weeks, then t he last 20 weeks I gained 40 lb for a total of 30 lb increase. Even with breastfeeding I couldn't loose a single lb. Because of that I'm weighing myself every two days, if I start to increase too much I know I need to try to limit how much I eat. I know it's hard, but just wanted to mention that.
Try to relax, I googled it and from what I found it's not un-common to now show that quickly. Someone said "The twin books say that with twins you will usually measure about 6-8 weeks ahead of a singleton pregnancy." If you have awesome belly mussels, it would be too early to start showing. Enjoy it while you can, once your belly gets big it can be hard to sleep (and that's with just one baby!).
I used to work out all the time, but haven't since the summer of 2009 really. When I had my last u/s, it was 2 weeks ago..at 8 weeks. I'm just scared something is wrong. I did IVF for the first time in dec 09 and it took on the first try with twins. My husband keeps reassuring me nothing is wrong, but I'm scared bc I'm not showing and look like I have just gained weight bc if eating so much. I'm hungry every 1 & 1/2 hours. Not really a "bump" just chubby.
I wouldn't worry. Some women don't show that soon even with twins. Do you have strong abs? If your mussels are strong, they make it so you don't show as soon. As long as the baby's are developing on track there should be no need to worry.
With my first I didn't show for a while (around 20 weeks or so I think), but the second time I started showing around 11 because my mussels were week and stretched out.
