Usually 20weeks is average for finding out. Sometimes as early as 14-16weeks but usually not till 20
They guessed the gender but not 100% accurate
They tried but said it was to early my next appt they said they can see at 15 weeks
They probably can tell but they are not allowed to say, I know how frustrating it can be wanting to know what it is its alot easier for baby shopping, i found out on my 20th scan
I got it done for both my last pregnancy and this one (:
With my last one , the nurse said I was proble gonna have a boy cause of the angle he was at and she was right , I found out at 18 weeks I was having a boy . And with this pregnancy , I found out I was having another boy by the blood work they did (: and I was 12 weeks at that time . And the blood work is accurate . (:
It's an optional blood test and ultrasound at 12 weeks. We opted out because we didn't want any genetic tests done.
no im waiting for my 20w scan.
cant wait... its well dragging !
lol.
and they test for downs at 12w scan too libellula :)
The "parts" don't begin to develop until 14 weeks, so it's pretty uncommon to be able to tell. Not saying it doesn't happen, but don't count on it. We found out at 15w3d. Also, I don't know of any 'down syndrome' appt. At 18-22 weeks they will blood test for it and look for signs at the ultrasound.
I'm going tomorrow for my 12 week scan. It's way too early for them to tell but the technician can guess for you if the baby is in the right angel. Just keep in mind that it's NOT 100 percent accurate.
