16weeks Pregnant with IUD still in place

I found out last week that I was 15 weeks pregnant with my 3 child.  My youngest right now is 9mo so this was totally unplanned.  My son, Marcus was born with a HLHS (hyperplastic left heart syndrome).  I had the IUD put in december and the urine test at the time was negative so they went a head and put the IUD in.  Now the IDU is imbedded in my cervix and they can not remove it.

I am really scared and was looking for other moms that heard of delivering with an IUD still in place.  We are hoping our future child will not have a heart condition or another birth defect.

Im 12 weeks pregnant i have a 14month old girl and a boy who will b 3 in july! My iud was stuck in my cervix and my dr was able to take it out last week becuz my body was starting to push it out

This hasn't happened to me or anyone I know but I looked online about the IUD because that's what I want to get next week. And it had said that if you get pregnant while it is in place to have it removed because it increases chances of miscarriage to 50 % and that if you continue the pregnancy with it in (which is your case) you are 4 times more likely to have a premature birth. And that the long term effects of the birth control on a child is not yet known.
I also read though that some people have perfectly healthy babies which is what I hope happens in your case. Just take good care of yourself and take it easy. Also I read this online so I wouldn't quote me on it.

I had a iud in when I got pregnant but my doc was able to get it out without a problem, she said its a possibility of having a miscarriage but thankfully I didn't have any issues. U can get a lawyer for this kinda thing ya kno
