23 WEEKS-And Braxton Hicks Already?

Has anyone else been getting Braxton Hicks Contractions this early? I never had them until my last month or two with my other two children. Can the stress I am under be causing them to come on earlier? And is it normal to have Braxton Hicks this early in pregnancy?

I'm only 20w6d and I think I've experienced a couple of them already.
This is my first pregnancy, so I'm not sure exactly what to feel for... but from what I was explained, it felt very similar to it.
I felt my uterus ball up really hard, and then let loose after a few seconds.
Happened 2 er 3 times in a row.
Weird.

And I think you may be right about the stress because I was having a VERY stressful day that day, ontop of it being hot outside and I was really thirsty cuz I had been out downtown walking around running errons.

So I guess so.
=]

As far as I know they're harmless so I wouldn't worry.
I never heard a little practice becoming a problem?

You know, I have never felt BH in my 2 other pregnancies, but I am 22 weeks now, and sometimes I do get an uncomfy almost tighness like feeling in my uterus...is that BH?  they are not painful at all, but I do notice them.

i was going to ask about BH...is that what they feel like??...menstrual cramps?  over the last week i have had 2 or 3 incidences of those mild cramps...nothing major, but something i haven't felt since early first trimester when my uterus was growing.  i am now just about 25 weeks.  do you think that could be what i felt?  they were so mild and short, but definitely felt that crampy feeling...

this is pregnancy #7 for me (#5 that made it out of first trimester) I had BH with my last pregnancies but not until later on towards the 3rd trimester.  This time around I've been getting them for awhile now...I'm 29 weeks today.  Doc told me that becuase this is a subsequent pregnancy that my "support system" is not what it should be and therefore my uterus gets "aggrivated" easily.  He pretty much told me in no uncertain terms to chill out, take it easy and drink plenty of clear fluids...water, juice, tea etc.  I was getting BH so bad last week I could have sworn that the pressure it was causing on my cervix was making me dialate but fortunately it wasn't.  I rested as much as I could and started drinking about 3 times as much water as I normally drink and they've all but stopped.  I get one or two every day or so but not intense and painful like they were last week.

Yah, thats crazy. It definitely gets uncomfortable. I remember getting them with my other two girls too, but it wasnt until the last part of the third trimester. Crazy how soon these things can happen.

BH have been recorded to start as early as 6 weeks pregnant (that crampy feeling in early pregnancy is due to implantation and BH more than your uterus growing). Isn't that interesting?!

Yep it's normal. and I agree with Michele, Katy, TX .. Be sure to get enough water. When I did that, mine stopped coming so much.

It can be.  Also, since this isn't your first pregnancy, you will probably notice them earlier.  But I'm sure stress can cause it to happen more often, so I would try to avoid that as much as possible.  Also, make sure you are drinking plenty of water.  I know that being dehydrated can also cause contractions.
