24 hour urine test?

Doctor said she found a small trace of protein in my urine so she wants me to complete a 24 hours urine test. They said it could possibly mean preeclampsia?  Can someone give me more insight!?! What if protein is found? Does that mean preeclampsia?

Today they also found a "minimal amount of protein" in my urine. They said that it is normal to have a tiny bit. I dont know I had further testing done because I was Gavin other symptoms

I had the same done and the results cane back fine. My blood pressure was elevated. But since then I've cut salt out and have been walking more. My Dr seems satisfied with day. Just say positive and hopefully everything will be fine.

Thats what I am afraid of. I could actually be 38 weeks tomorrow but my doctor moved my due back. Im measuring 39weeks. So I think if I was to have her early she would still be healthy. She is a big baby as well! Just want her to come out healthy

I was induced with my last pregnancy due to the protein and because my blood pressure was  high. I have a normal blood pressure of around 110/70. And I went to around 145/80ish and my  said that he induces  either of the numbers reach 40 points higher  my normal. I never really reached that 40 mark but it was rising fast and my protein was high.

I had to do the same thing at 18 weeks due I high blood pressure and protein in my urine. Everything will be okay :) I know it's really scary but don't stress yourself out, it won't help your blood pressure or your baby any. And I do not recommend reading on it, there is too much misinformation out there. If you have any questions ask your dr or midwife.

In order for it to be true pre-eclampsia, your blood pressure will be high too. If it's just the protein, then your Dr will just keep a close eye on your blood pressure.

Can mean preeclampsia. That's why they're doing the more in depth test. It's probably nothing but I would read up on preeclampsia and the risks it presents just so you're prepared for the possibility.
