2cm and 50% effaced!

I am now 36 weeks and 4 days and as of last Thursday I was 2CM and 50% effaced.  I have been having contractions and mucus for about 1.5 weeks now and am hoping this baby is coming soon.  Anyone else have a similar experience and when did your baby come?  My son was 6 days late and I went into labor so fast with him, I started feeling contractions at 6PM and we were at the hospital at 11PM so this his very different.

im so over this pregnancy im so happy my baby is healthy but I never found out the sex of my baby.... the baby never cooperated ....now my DR doesnt even check me for dilation so I have no idea as to what progress my body is making if any im due on sunday and im just sooo frustrated arrghhhhh

I was 2cm dilated and 10% effaced for a week. Then I was 2cm and 90% effaced for another week. I had mucus the whole time. Then came the baby! I had a bloody show the day before labor, so I'd say if you see blood then the baby is on its way. congrats!
