Chantal, you know you are always in my thoughts...I am big time praying that this little girl stays put until it is time for her to come out!!!! These kids can be so dog on stubborn before they are even born!!! LOL!!
Yea I have them daily, but my biggest problem is that she's already in the correct position and in the pelvic. The docs was shocked to already be feeling her head, but I stay in pain alot from her trying I guess to pull her head back, but atleast your baby isn't there yet. I hope I hold on, and I hope your little one does to!!!!
Chantel - glad things are going better. Stick to that bed rest! And I just wanted to comment that Lydia is a BEAUTIFUL name! It's my sister's name (Lydia Ann) and she loves it too...kinda wish my mom didn't use it so I could have!! :)
Jenguz86~~ Oh wow. Are you getting a lot of contractions? Mine vary from day to day. Sunday was pretty bad, then monday and tuesday were quiet and now today they have picked up again. I hope we both can hold out just a bit longer!! I think our babies are a little too excited to meet us! ;)
AMINOHIO~~ Thank you! I hope so too!! :)
Best of luck to you, hun! I'm praying that she stays put a while longer and you deliver a healthy baby!!
I know what u are going through, I went into preterm labor at 28 weeks, now I am 31 weeks and 3 cm dialted. I take the projestaron shot weekly and also see my doc weekly, I have had two doses of steroids, but seems like she's holding on. Good luck and just pray everything will be fine!!
Thanks everyone!! I am home now thankfully. I only had to be monitored for 2 hours, so it wasn't so bad. If I have 5 contractions in an hour, they want me to call them and be checked. Then I had the steroid shot...man did that sucker burn!!! OUCH! Anyway, still 2cm after another midwife checked me which is good and her head is not engaged. Only had 2 contractions in 2 hours which is great, so they were comfortable sending me home and said I have to remain on very strict bedrest if I want baby to stay put for another 6 weeks. Only allowed up to use the bathroom and no sitting straight up. I go back to the hospital again tomorrow for another hour of monitoring, another steroid shot, and then they are going to do the Fetal Fibronectin test to see if I am at risk for having this baby early or not. We will see! I talked to my midwife about all of this today and she says it's always better to be on the safe side at this point and take every precaution necessary. She doesn't have hospital rights or anything, so right now, I'm more under the care of the OB she works with until I get to 36 weeks. She better stay put until then!!
And alaysha, you are right! Her big brother wouldn't be too happy if she didn't behave. ;)
I told hubby, if and when we have another child in the future, I am definitely going to be trying the Progesterone shots...it can't hurt if anything. One of the midwives asked if I ever thought about the injections, she really thinks I may have a progesterone issue.
Thanks for the prayers everyone!! Keep praying that little Lydia (I am 95% sure that will be her name) stays put!!
I am so sorry that you are having to go through all of this Chantal. If anyone deserved an easy going pregnancy it was you! I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers and I just have a feeling that baby will stay put. She has to because her big brother in heaven would kick her booty if she didn't.
Praying for you. I hope baby stays put too. I also hope you have a really good hospital, it made me safer knowing i was in a hospital equipped to deal with any emergency, so i hope yours is like mine...Keep believing that God will keep you and baby safe.
Im here and praying for you Chantal. I pray that Gods 'will' is to give your body the right direction to hold on and grow that baby to health. Gods Grace and goodness carry you through till the time is right. Hugs chantal.
Wishing you luck.. and praying for you...
I know a person who recently had her baby at 30 weeks and the baby is doing really well.. She is still in the hospital for a couple more weeks but is breathing on her own and gaining weight fast.. I hope you can hold out for several more weeks though
